$156,679.74 bar tab isn't THAT bad... is it?

The party continued over the weekend for the Stanley Cup champion Bruins, who tore it up at Shrine nightclub at Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Conn., Saturday night.

When all was said and done, the Black and Gold racked up a four-hour bar tab that totaled $156,679.74, which included the now-famous $100,000.00 bottle of Ace of Spades "Midas" champagne, and a built-in tip of $24,869.80 for Danielle (the server whose name is on top of the tab below), which we imagine she had to split up with a few other servers at Shrine. And our guess if the Bruins may not have noticed the built-in tip, and threw in a larger gratuity when the bill was paid.

Shrine owners Ed Kane, Joe Kane, and Randy Greenstein hand-delivered the 30-liter "Midas" bottle, which is one of six in existence. The bottle was double the size of the 15-liter Ace of Spades brut that Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban purchased for his team after its NBA championship just over a week ago.

Some other highlights on the Bruins tab from Shrine included 35 Jager Bombs totaling $525, 3 bottles of Captain Morgan at $300 each, 9 bottles of Goose MG at $600 a pop, 136 Bud Lights... and in case anyone was dehydrated, 67 bottles of Fiji water totaling $268.

The Globe's Names column filed this report: "Before anyone could sample the champagne, it had to be opened — and that proved difficult. Zdeno Chara tried, but the 6-foot-9 defenseman couldn’t do it. Finally, after a few failed attempts, the cork was removed, and the champagne was poured into the Stanley Cup. Their thirst still not quenched, Chara, Shawn Thornton, and the rest of the Bruins then lifted the Cup to their mouths.

"Chara, wearing jeans and an Ed Hardy T-shirt, can actually dance, but no one kicked it like Brad Marchand and rookie Tyler Seguin, who spent much of the night on top of the bar, shirtless, and spritzing the crowd with champagne. They were occasionally joined by teammates, some of whom seemed to be using these postseason parties to perfect their Dougie, the dance made famous by Lil’ Wil. Even the team’s oldest player, 43-year-old Mark Recchi, jumped up on the bar and busted a move."

The "Midas" bottle, which was signed by every Bruins team member in attendance, will be on display at High Rollers at Foxwoods and will be raffled off at a later date to benefit the Bruins foundation.

LADY GAGA releases "Born This Way" track...

It's here, little monsters.  On Friday morning (February 11), Lady Gaga debuted her highly anticipated new single, "Born This Way," a funky, fun dance tune about loving yourself for who you are.  Akon, who signed Gaga to his Kon Live Distribution label in 2008, opened up about the pop star's latest dance opus, admitting that he thinks it will finally show off Gaga's full capacities as a musician and songwriter, and not just a pop ingénue.

"I think 'Born This Way' is the kind of record that if you are really paying attention you will get the full depth of Gaga as a songwriter. Sometimes the creative image hides the element of her lyrical content," he told PopEater.com. "That's why she wanted to give people a better idea of what she was saying outside of her image when she dropped those lyrics."  The track has a clear message: Everyone should be treated equally no matter who they are or what they believe in.  "Gaga says a lot of stuff in her records," Akon added.  "But I know these parents and critics are not really listening to her lyrics.  I know that for a fact.  She's singing about a lot of adult subject matter.  She's not just making dance records.  Unfortunately, people pay more attention to what she is wearing."  The song is the lead single off the album of the same name, which will drop in May.  Akon revealed that there are a few more touches that need to be added before they reach their deadline.  "We are finishing up the album now," he said.  "She's about to go back on tour later this year.  There's a lot going on."

Facebook Co-Founder Engaged To Boyfriend!

Facebook-co-creator-sean-hughes-getting-married-to-sean-eldridge__oPt
Time to change his relationship status!  Facebook Co-Founder Chris Hughes (above right) is engaged to his boyfriend, Sean Eldridge, political director for Freedom To Marry.  Eldridge announced their engagement at the New York City reception in Support of Freedom To Marry at the couple's SoHo loft.

Eldridge told their guests:
"This is very timely for Chris and I to have you here tonight to celebrate marriage and work on marriage. We got engaged two weeks ago, so there is a real sense of urgency."

They have yet to set a date, but the two are willing to wait until marriage is legal in New York.

Eldridge added:
"As you know, we can't get married in New York, so there is more of an urgency to approve gay marriage, so we can get married here. We're going to get married in the next year or two for sure. We're hoping as soon as possible."

We hope so too.
Congratulations!

"Snowed-In Saturday @ MANTRA" kicks it up for MLK

Boston's newest ALT night -- on Saturdays, no less -- is ramping up for a busy night this Saturday, January 15th now that there's NO COVER (thanks to the recent sponsorship of DLIST).  It's especially helpful to arrive early, since this Ultra-Lounge temporarily shuts down the fun at 1:00am due to the always-restrictive City of Boston.  But don't fret, we hear that a new 2:00am closing-time will arrive soon.
